Xenon bulbs removal

Hi,

At the inside of the front wheelhousing (both sides !) of my Passat (3BG 1.9 TDI variant + Xenon), there is an hatch. This is locate nearby the rearside of the Xenon-house. Is it possible to interchange the xenon bulbs through that hatch? Or can this only be done by removing the front bumper.

I translate for you in an short sentece. I am not sure because I`ve the 3B. But I can`t imagine the nessesary to remove the bumper for changing an Bulb.

Auf der Rückseite im Bereich der Radhausschale ist eine Öffnung. Kann man die Xenonbrenner durch dieses Öffnung tauschen oder muss man die Stange runternehmen?

Well, I called a Friend who`s got the 3BG - I was really surpriced, but it`s true: Changing an Xenon Bulbs needs to put of the Bumper, then you can get out the Hid and so on. On 3B`s it is much easyier, Hids can be removed without puttin` of the bumper.

To your other question (intercooler): He told me you should have a look at your Horn. Some of the 3BG`s use to have the Horn right in front of the intercooler. When puttin`n of Bumper for changing Hids you also can look forward to find a new place for the Horn, maybe on the other side.
