Climatronic change

Ich frage es im english, weil meine deutsch nicht so gut ist.
Ich habe schon der suche gebraucht, aber leider ist meine Deutsch nicht gut genug.

Hello Passat Friends,
The Climatronic Panel from my Passat 3Bg did not work anymore, the light was off when I turned the headlights on, and there was no outside temp visible. I searched this forum for a solution, and it seemed the climatronic "bedienteil" that was broken. So I bought an other one on *bay. The only thing is I had an 044 H and now I bought a 044 K. According to this forum that should not be a problem? Now the tricky part: Can I just change it and do nothing further, or do I have to replace codes? With my very bad German skills I read 2 different versions.

my english is very bad :? i hope you can understand me...

you have to readout the codierung from the old clima control panel and educate the new clima on your car.

at the end you have to make attitude with the new clima.
