W8 Back spoiler on 3BG

Hi,

I would like to attach an W8 back-spoiler on my 3BG-variant. Will this fit ? The double exhaust of the W8 , will this also fit on my 3BG (1.9 TDI ABT 160 HP) ? My 3BG has also parking sensors mounted. Is this an problem, or can you order an W8 back-spoiler with sensor-holes by the VW dealer.

You are asking to lookalike this?

It is possible to order W8 back-spoiler with sensor-holes at your local Dealer. You can have them with roundings for the two mufflers or plan.

You own a 2WD 3BG 1.9 TDI? It`s devently a problem to mount the W8 mufflers cause they are for 4WD`s. You have only one muffler on the left side, in my opinion it makes no sence to change that. The Tips here on the Pic above are faked but very good made.....

Thanks for your quick response. Yes, this is what I mean. How did you made those fake right exhaust pipe's (detail on mounting etc) Which brand exhaust did you mount on your passat ?

By the description of your car, there is an item "Fliegengitter vor LMM entfernt". What do you mean with this ? Is this the protector for the intercooler. If yes, increase this the power of your engine?

Hi Passat_freak,
your first question: This is the car of our Webmaster Holger, I`ll send him a PN to answer by his own. I`m not informed how he managed that.

your second question: The MAF (=LMM in German) has got a "fence" or "guard" before the Sensor to protect it. I simply cutted it away to reach a better airflow for my Gasoline V6. This Mod is not neccesary for you.

What you mean is to modify the airflow to the intercooler. In this case it`s also possible to make things work a bit better. In front of the intercooler you find a deflector which can be formed by using a Heatingpistol. This deflector hides a bit of the intercooler and can be formed to exploit 100% of the intercoolerarea. Behind the intercooler you can modify also: The Audi S4 uses a different wheelhousing with several horizontal slots. Turning wheels are producing a turbulence in the wheelhouse, this turbulence produces a negative depression through the slots for your intercooler. Some here in this Forum made this Mod. The Wheelhousing of the S4 does`nt fit in the Passat, so they cutted the slots out of the S4`s und putted it in Passat`s

I hope you have no foglight down the Grill, this reduces much of the airflow to your intercooler.

I´m proud that you like my exhaust. I don´t have new fotos, but I can show you some before I´ve built it.

The exhaust is from ATU, a german tuning shop. I forgot the name of the brand, I think it is from sweden.

I´ll post more pictures later...
