Einbau der Passat W8 Innenraumleuchte - Help me !

sorry, im french and i dont speak deutsch ! so i try to explain myself in english...

I reed this tip (http://passat3b.de/tips/18.html), and its nice ; but i have some questions :

I would like to do the same thing on my car, a Passat variant from december 1998. But i have some questions :

- im not a very good electrician, and i dont want to do errors... i would like to know how to connect the red light to the dimmer of my car. theres no picture of this stage ; where must i do to connect the electric wire ? Near from the dimmer, i suppose, but how ?

Other question : i dont understand why it could be a problem if the car have an airbag (mine have one, in the steering wheel). I reed that here, but im not sure to well understand :

Hello!

Your car has an airbag? That's no problem. In the text, which you read at ebay, they mean the airbag - deactivate-light (your car doesn't have it, I think) not the airbag itself.

You have to do go from the W8-light to the light switch on the cable grey/blue (clip 17). I think that's it.

Yes, luca. You´re right. And 1999 as the year of construction don´t include the airbag in the A-pillar. So he does´nt have any problems with the airbags (i mean the additional wire to the W8-lamp) ... .
